Members of SPHS Theatre competed at the district Trumbauer Festival this weekend in a variety of acting, musical, and technical categories. We sent 53 entries; of these, 45 received superior scores, and 40 of those were selected to move on to the state competition in December.
Our original work, Deeds Not Words, will advance to compete at the state festival, as well. The one act received Best in Show, as well as numerous awards including Best Actress (Rachel Ponder), Best Actor (Connor Kolaczek), Best Supporting Actress (Sophia Von Seebach), All Star Cast (Sapir Blain, Caroline Nowak, Hope Elyse Brown), Best Ensemble, and Best Technical Production.
