This week is PINK WEEK -- a district-wide anti-bullying campaign! This is a week where we’re asking all students and staff to participate in a sort of social experiment to see the ripple effects of kindness. Kindness is proven to prevent bullying. If we all focused one full week on being kind, together, we can see what a difference we collectively can make in our school culture! Here are the details:
Tuesday: Pink Sticky Note Day! Post pink sticky notes with kind messages on random lockers, desks in your classrooms, etc.
Wednesday: Pink Shirt Day AND Mix It Up At Lunch! Wear a pink shirt and pink out Spain Park AND mix it up at lunch and sit at a different table with different people.
Thursday: Peer Helpers will hand out red heart suckers with a kind message to random students. Choose a sticky note with a compliment or encouragement from the Kindness Confetti Wall in the lunchroom and surprise someone you don't know with it.
Students who participate in the Pink Week activities have an opportunity to be entered into a drawing for gift cards to local vendors:
Ways to Win:
1. On Wednesday, February 28th, wear a pink shirt (any pink shirt).
2. #pinkoutsphs on social media
3. Spread kindness from the Kindness Confetti Wall in the lunchroom all week by choosing a sticky note with a compliment or encouragement and passing it on.
*Key Club will take contest entries from students who participated during AO on Friday.
