Details on Governor's App Challenge - Rules, Rubric and Prize Information

In addition to the Hour of Code, there is a Governor's App Challenge Contest you can enter.

There will be one high school winner from Hoover City Schools who will be entered in the state school district contest. You must submit a link to your entry by December 13th so we will have time to choose a winner and submit to the district for judging. One winner from our State School District for grades 9-12 will win. $1000 for 1st place, $500 for 2nd place, $250 for 3rd place.

Your entry should include:

Written Response typed in PDF format with a link to your short YouTube video. Specifics are included in the rules link above.

Video Information
Students must create a 1-2 minute video, showcasing what the app does and how it works. Details on how this video should be done and uploaded are on the rules link. 


Send your entries to Mrs. McKinley by December 13th at 4 p.m.
