10th grade students,
This past October, you took the PreACT as part of Alabama's Student Assessment Program. The PreACT simulates the ACT testing experience within a shorter test window on all four ACT test subjects. As you may be aware, one benefit of taking the PreACT is to help you, your parents, and your teachers gain an early indication of your progress and to develop plans for improvement. Additional information about the PreACT can be found here.
Scores from the PreACT have recently been returned to our school. Because exams are in full force, our counselors will visit classrooms in January to distribute scores, review score reports, and help each student develop his/her ACT study plan using a resource called ACT Academy. ACT Academy provides free, online practice to help each student personalize his/her instruction in preparation for the ACT. If you want more information on this resource, please visit ACT Academy Our hope is that this guidance lesson provides a springboard for genuine discussion between you, your parent, and your teachers of your college and career goals and aspirations.
If you need additional help or have questions, please feel free to contact your counselor.
