United States Air Force Sponsored Event / Scholarships
Where? Maxwell Air Force Base / Montgomery, Alabama
(82 miles south of Birmingham)
When? Saturday, November 16, 2019 - 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Who? Open to SPHS Seniors (& Parents)
Required? Register by November 8th. at everbrite.com
Qualifiers? U.S. Citizen
Age - between 17 and 31
Not enrolled in a college, university or military preparatory
school.
Take physical fitness assessment.
Be of good moral character and demonstrate leadership
potential.
Needed? Minimum GPA of 3.0 from 9th. through 11th. Grade
Minimum SAT composite score of 1240 or ACT score of 26
Scholarship applications due before January 17, 2020
History: 84% of eligible applicants received a scholarship.
80% of scholarships are awarded toward technical degrees.
Tuition - up to $18,000 per year (Type 2) and a book allowance.
