Representatives of the United States Navy, led by Senior Chief Arnaldo Romero, gave a presentation on "opportunities for prospective leaders." Educational scholarships, signing bonus, travel, and various opportunities and benefits were topics for discussion. Above all, "options" were presented to help students make informed decisions concerning their future, whether it meant career, college, or the military route.
AFC members were reminded of the free ASVAB test available to Junior and Senior students on November 21st., 8:30 a.m., in the library. Be sure you are signed up through google classroom. See your Counselor if there are questions. It is a 3-hour computer test. It will be administered by Sergeant Kevin Rolfe, USMC. This is a great way to discover how your score can open doors to more options.
November 20th. is the next AFC scheduled meeting. There will be a presentation by Kevin Rolfe, Staff Sergeant, United States Marine Corps. If you have an ACT of 22 (or better) and are in reasonably good physical condition, you may be interested in some amazing scholarship opportunities as either a naval or marine corps officer through ROTC. There are other opportunities available as well. Discover your options! No commitment is required.
